Before the fight, it will be good to come well prepared with elixirs and antidotes, since one of his attacks is poisonous and he can shred your health with them.
When the fight starts immediately you will want to go left or right since he will charge at you at a relatively slow speed so it won't be that hard to dodge that first attack, and from there attacking him into his side.
During the first stage of the fight, it is important to learn and know what are his attack patterns and from where the danger comes from.
He will either dive at you with the head, attack you with the tail swipe, launch volley of darts or attack you with his side-heads. Once you know all these attacks, you will be better prepared.

It is of utter importance not to be static, just keep moving and avoiding attacks while waiting for an opening to appear, at which point you will want to attack.
Besides his main head, Yatsu-no-Kami has two smaller side-heads, which will be one of his ways to attack you. Those heads will always spawn from the ground behind you, so when you see that Yatsu-no-Kami is preparing to perform this attack, just start running towards him and you will dodge the small heads, and from there strike a few blows into his side, and then back off to safety.
You will also want to try and deal as much damage as possible to his side-heads before the second stage of the battle starts since heads will later attack you individually and their health will be based on the damage you did to them prior to that stage.

When he attacks you with his projectiles, just try to lean to the side quickly or dodge through them. When he tries to grab you, just move slightly to the side and attack him from there.
There is a chance to Burst Counter him as well, which can do a lot of damage, but unlike the first two bosses, it can be tricky to do it right, so it is better to play safe than to try doing this.
If you still want to try, you will be able to Burst Counter this boss when he charges at you while glowing red, where you'll want to press R2 and circle and quickly attack, and then back away.
And that's about it. We know that it's hard, but you will need to give your best. Move constantly, remember his attacks, remember his pattern and use every situation to apply damage to him when is vulnerable.
With some practice and, most importantly, patience, you will be able to defeat the snake boss Yatsu-no-Kami.
Good luck and have fun!
