While Steel Hunters is still in its early access phase, the content train shows no signs of slowing down. Season 1 has officially launched, bringing a brand-new battle pass packed with rewards. However, the biggest highlight for many will likely be the introduction of a new Hunter named Taurus. So, let’s take a quick look at everything you can expect with the arrival of Steel Hunters Season 1.

The Season 1 Battle Pass is packed with content, offering a wide range of skins across all Grades (1–3) for every Hunter, as well as valuable in-game resources and currencies. These currencies are crucial for empowering and upgrading your Hunters, making the Battle Pass well worth grinding through.

One key reason to push through the pass? Taurus, the latest close-range, brawler-focused Hunter, is being introduced this season, and you can unlock him for free. Players using either the Pro or Premium versions of the Battle Pass will get quicker access to Taurus, but even those on the free path can unlock him through progression and earned premium currency.

Gameplay Improvements & Quality-of-Life Changes

Wargaming isn’t just dropping new content—they’re also listening to player feedback and polishing the core experience. Season 1 introduces several quality-of-life changes, including:

  • A simplified and cleaner HUD improves readability and reduces screen clutter during matches.
  • Enhanced Unique Skill Tree Nodes:
  • Credit costs for unique skill nodes have been reduced by 50%, making them more accessible. If you’ve already invested in these nodes, don’t worry—all credits spent will be fully refunded.
  • Clearer Match Progression Indicators:
  • Upgrade and level progression indicators are now much more visible, giving players a clearer sense of growth during gameplay.
  • Faster Ammo Recharge:
  • Ammo recharges more quickly, especially when you’re low on magazines.
  • Improved Melee Combat:
  • Adjustments to cooldowns and attack ranges make melee fights feel faster and more dynamic.
  • Heartbreaker Rebalance:
  • Major updates to Heartbreaker’s Railgun and Sonar Pulse improve her viability in team play. Expect a stronger scoped shot and more support utility from her sonar ability.
