Crossovers have become an undeniable staple in Call of Duty—both in Warzone and Black Ops 6—as seen with the arrival of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other iconic IPs like the Terminator. The latest announced crossover features Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob, along with their superhero alter egos, Bluntman and Chronic, as operator skins. However, their introduction also appears to tease the arrival of another well-known actor: Seth Rogen.

Roughly a day ago, the Call of Duty developers released a promo video showcasing their new Jay and Silent Bob operator skins—a delightfully goofy collaboration that caught fans' attention. But it’s the final moments of the video that have the community buzzing.

As the promo wraps up with Jay and Silent Bob gearing up in the game lobby, a third player joins their party, going by the name “CanadianSmokeMonster.” Just as this happens, viewers can hear a faint but unmistakable Seth Rogen laugh in the background.

For longtime fans, the reference is hard to miss. Not only is Seth Rogen a well-known Canadian actor, but he’s also famously associated with weed culture, making the “Smoke Monster” nickname feel especially pointed. It seems clear this was an intentional tease, suggesting that Seth Rogen could soon be joining the Call of Duty universe as a playable operator.

Seth Rogen likely to come in future seasons
While Seth Rogen has seemingly been teased, we don’t expect his arrival in Season 3—instead, he’s more likely to appear as an operator sometime later in Season 4. (Picture: Activision)

As for when he might arrive, that’s still a mystery. If Rogen were part of the upcoming Season 3 Reloaded drop in May, we likely would’ve seen more promotional material by now. That points to a Season 4 release or later, though nothing has been officially confirmed just yet.

For now, fans will have to wait and see when the iconic, giggling comedian finally steps onto the battlefield in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
