In Star Wars Battlefront 2, Star Cards are powerful collectable enchantments, that can boost and modify all classes and heroes, and even give them completely new abilities.
Battlefront 2 has two types of Star Cards: Boost Cards and Ability Cards, and Each class has multiple Star Card slots where you can equip them.
Players can unlock Star Cards by playing with a particular unit and levelling it up with experience, which you can earn by completing objectives, killing enemies and simply playing the game.

Whenever you level up any class or hero, you will be granted one Skill Point which you can use to either unlock new Star Cards for that unit or upgrade an already purchased Star Card to its next rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic), which will make them more powerful.
This process can be quite grindy and it can take a lot of time to unlock all Star Cards and their tiers even for a single class, let alone for all classes and heroes in the game.
With that in mind, you will want to make sure to have the best possible Star Cards for each class in the game, at least for the beginning, so that you can play and grind more efficiently. And later, you can unlock all other cards and tiers and experiment to see what are the best builds for you and what kind of playstyle will suit you best for each class and hero in the game.
Now, let's see what are the best Star Cards for each class in Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Officers are support units with moderate mobility and 150 HP. They excel in battlefield control and helping their teammates.
For them, we recommend you the following Star Cards:
- Bounty Hunter - Increases the rate you earn battle points and it is ideal for players who want to play as special units and Heroes as soon as possible.
- Resourceful - Increases the speed at which abilities recharge, which is great for players who are still learning how to use their abilities properly because sometimes cooldowns can be too long and you don't always have time to wait in a heat of battle.
- Improved Battle Command - additionally helps you to earn battle points quickly.

If you like to play from a long-range, the Specialist class is a perfect choice.
They rely on stealth and good positioning and are often able to kill their enemies before they even see you.
For them, we recommend you the following Star Cards:
- Hardened Infiltration - Improves standard Infiltration and completely removes you from enemy scanners, which will allow you to be even stealthier.
- Personal Shield - As a long-range specialist, you will be quite squishy and sometimes you will simply need that extra protection or you might die quite easily.
- Improved Shock Grenade - An upgraded version of Shock Grenade, which can be quite useful to keep your enemies away from you when things get ugly.
Star Wars Battlefront 2: Best Star Cards for the Assault class
(Picture: EA)
As the name suggests, Assault is a class which storms the enemy from the front rows.
Assault is a high-mobility class which excels at overcoming defenders and taking positions, but it is the most vulnerable one because you will always be open for attacks.
For Assault class, we recommend you the following Star Cards:
- Improved Thermal Detonator - An improved version of the Thermal Detonator which gives it shorter recharge time. When you are in the front line, time is crucial, and shorter recharge times can mean a difference between life and death.
- Toughen Up - The card regenerates the Assault's health while active. You will be taking a lot of damage, and so this will help you regain some your Health.
- Assault Training - This card will give you back a small amount of health whenever you kill an enemy, which will additionally improve your survivability.
Star Wars Battlefront 2: Best Star Cards for the Heavy class
(Picture: EA)
The Heavy class is your typical "tank". He is there to take a beating and to protect the team with his high durability (200 base health) and great area control.
His weakness is that he is very slow and not exactly agile.
For Heavy class, we recommend you the following Star Cards:
- Improved Combat Shield - It gives you Shield which doubles your Health in its base version (common).
- Mobile Sentry - Your mobility will be increased, which is important for a class that's generally very slow, and it will give you a slight health regeneration upon its activation. The damage of the ability is quite low, so you will want to use it at a close-to-medium range and try to have as many headshots as possible.
- Survivalist - Another tool for your survivability, which reduces the delay on health regeneration for the player.
Keep in mind that as you get better with the class, you can try to use some other interesting options which are not focused on the survivability, but for starters, this build is the most optional one.
And that would be it! Whatever class you choose, just grind and try to unlock your Star Cards as fast as possible, and then try to optimise your build and use different combinations, to find out what particular style will work great for you.
And of course, have fun!
