Watch the ELEAGUE Street Fighter V Invitational on GINX

Tune in to GINX Esports TV at 11 PM BST to watch the preview show for ELEAGUE’s Street Fighter V Invitational! Tune in again tomorrow at 8 PM BST to watch the tournament itself, starting off with Group A.

Twenty four of the world’s best Street Fighter V players are gearing up to compete in ELEAGUE’s Street Fighter V invitational.

Against the backdrop of the ELEAGUE arena in Atlanta, they will fight it out for a prize pool totalling $250,000. The action will last several weeks and ultimately culminate in the playoffs, which will start on Friday, 13 July. To get to that point, players first have to negotiate tricky groups, then battle for their tournament lives in knife-edge double elimination brackets.

We can tell you now that the groups are all totally stacked. Group A, which plays out tomorrow, is a prime example, featuring Japanese Legends Tokido and Dogura, as well as French star Luffy and Cygames’ mighty PR Balrog. You’ll find a similar depth of quality in the other five groups.

Spicing things up further are JB and Commander Jesse, the winners from ELEAGUE’s reality show, “The Challenger” (which you can also watch on GINX, by the way).

Tonight’s preview show will introduce you to the commentary team, explain the tournament structure and give you the lowdown on the players to watch. And since this event runs for several weeks – group A tomorrow, then one group per week until playoffs – it’s a good idea to get acquainted with the format at the very beginning.

By the end of the preview, you should be nice and hyped up for what promises to be one of the most thrilling events Street Fighter has ever seen. Don’t miss it.
