Team SoloMid, one of the biggest esports organisations in the world, has officially entered Rainbow Six Siege, acquiring the North America Pro League team formerly under Excelerate Gaming.
Excelerate had left the team at the end of season nine, with the company seemingly slowing down operations after a rough few months. This meant the quintet were looking for a new organisation to represent in the Pro League and, on the day prior to the start of Season 10, were announced to be working with TSM.
However, it wasn’t a great start to the season, with TSM taking a loss to newly-promoted ’92 Dream Team in a 7-4 scoreline. This could be attributed to coach Owen “Pojoman” Mitura having to stand in and play, as fan-favourite and recent pickup Jason “Beaulo” Doty was still two days underage at the time of the match.
With Beaulo getting into the starting line-up as of next week, TSM will be hoping to see better results – though it’s still early days, and one loss won’t mean much in the grand scheme of things.
