League of Legends Pro League

The Tencent League of Legends Pro League is the highest level of League of Legends league competition in China. Much like the LCS, the LPL gets an English language broadcast on Twitch courtesy of Riot Games.

The season consists of two seven team splits fighting it out for seeding in an eventual playoff bracket, the winner of which will secure an automatic qualification spot to the League of Legends world championship group stage. The team with the most championship points (who didn’t already win the playoff final) also make it to group stage. The third worlds qualification spot from the LPL is determined by the Regional Qualifier, held after the Summer Playoffs, although this seed will only enter worlds at the play-in stage.
