With the instant success of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, and some of the most screen time we've had for Darth Vader in decades, many fans are wondering who is playing the iconic villain. There is plenty of hands-on-deck for putting the Sith Lord into motion, and without seeing the face under the suit, it's easy to mix up who is really playing the character.
As it was with the original trilogy, even the voice of Darth Vader is separate from the person that acts in the suit. James Earl Jones and his voice are synonymous with the way Vader sounds, but for the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, there are three different people taking up the mantle of the Sith Lord.
Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi - The actors behind Darth Vader
The most obvious actor behind Darth Vader in the Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi series is Hayden Christensen. Fans will recognize him as the actor who portrays Anakin in the Star Wars prequel trilogy of movies. In fact, Ewan McGregor returning as Obi-Wan Kenobi alongside Hayden was one of the main marketing points of the new series.
Christensen, who is now 41 years old, has spoken about wearing the suit and the way it feels compared to what he wore as Anakin in the prequels. Ewan McGregor has also spoken alongside him about how it feels to face him as he plays Vader rather than his old Padawan.

But Christensen is only one of three, and he may even be in the suit for the least amount of time in comparison to the other actors or stunt doubles. Christensen had two other actors alongside him that wore the suit when filming Obi-Wan Kenobi. Which scenes they are each in hasn't been confirmed, so there is no real way to tell just by watching.
This topic was first brought about by one of the actors named Dmitrious Bistrevsky who posted about his role in the Star Wars series on his own Instagram. He also mentioned that a third actor named Tom O'Connell wa the second stunt double.
The only time we see Darth Vader out of his suit in any capacity is when he is in the bacta tank, and even that is hard to tell who is playing the menacing character. But it's likely Christensen considering it has the most revealing scenes of them all. Otherwise, viewers will have to rely on James Earl Jones.
