Fortnite Chapter 3 has arrived after an epic conclusion of Chapter 2 with "The End" in-game event this Saturday.
The sheer magnitude of content in Fortnite Chapter 3 is awe-inspiring as it comes with a completely new "flipped" map, The Rock, Spiderman, a slew of new weapons and mechanics, and much, much more.
Of course, it would not be a new Fortnite Season without a new battle pass to grind, and when you are tired of grinding, you can take a rest in your loot tent.
But before starting to enjoy all of this, you will naturally first need to start the game, and it seems that many are currently having a problem with that because Fortnite refuses to load and instead you are welcomed with a dazzling blank white screen.
Why is your Fortnite screen white, and how can you fix this?
How to fix Fortnite white screen glitch?
As reported by a number of players, this issue appears on numerous platforms, including Xbox, PC, PlayStation, and Switch. This is not a new issue, as it was first spotted back in April, but back then it was exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, unlike now when it plagues players on all platforms.
Players would try to boot up Fortnite, and instead of the normal loading screen, a white screen accompanied with some dramatic music would appear, without the usual "drifting" message.
While there are currently no obvious solutions for this, players report that a simple restart of Fortnite or PC/console would not do the trick, but if you force several restarts of the game (3 or 4 times), it should eventually solve the problem, according to some players' experience, which we can not confirm.
Another solution for PC players is to disable "high-resolution textures" in the Fortnite settings, this has been reported to fix the Fortnite white screen glitch.
Finally, some players say that if you wait long enough (a couple of minutes) the white screen will eventually fade away and the game will start, with you being washed up on the shore.
Those are currently the only known solutions that could possibly fix your Fortnite white screen problem.
It should be noted that Epic Games are aware of the issue and are actively working on fixing it.
We will update this article if we find more possible workarounds until Epic Games fix the white screen glitch.
