In 2024, The Milk Cup cemented itself as one of the best entry points for upcoming women's esport talent, with over 60% of its competitors entering their first-ever tournament. The finals, which took place ar the Los Angeles Convention Center, saw 99 competitors battle it out as Trios in an all-women Fortnite tournament. This year, The Milk Cup returns with some new and exciting upgrades.
The Milk Cup 2025: New Format, Prize Pool, and Academy Program
In order to continue to support women in gaming, and providing a barrier-free path for new and returning women's esports talent to grow in competitive gaming, The Milk Cup will roll out the following changes:
- A new $300,000 prize pool — an increase from last year's $250,000 pool.
- New Duos format — A shift to a two-person team from last year's Trios. While opening the grounds for new strategic plays, it alleviates the difficulty that comes with sourcing a full three-person roster.
- More paths to the Finals —Three major Series qualifier events will be held in April, June, and August, each leading to the Finals.
- The Milk Cup Academy – A brand new Fortnite training and mentorship program designed to develop and empower women gamers through coaching from top gaming professionals, skill-building, and competitive experience. Exclusive prize opportunities will be available for Academy participants to be rewarded while they bolster their skills.
The Milk Cup 2025 will once again be supported by key figures in women's gaming, including:
- ThePeachCobbler – Top Fortnite streamer and Co-Founder of The Milk Cup.
- RaidiantGG – An all-women production team, helmed by Heather "sapphiRe" Garozzo
- Moonrock — program advisors across partners and sponsorships.
