Fortnite The Foundation boss location and how to defeat with ease

Following "The End" event, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 has arrived, flipping the map upside down, introducing a shiny new Battle Pass, adding new characters, locations and even gameplay elements such as sliding and even loot tents! 

There is clearly a whole lot of content in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1, and at the time of writing, there is a lot left to be discovered. 

One of the biggest reveals of Chapter 3 was that The Foundation, unmasked to be played by Dwayne “The Rock'' Johnson, entered the Fortnite island with style. In this guide, we explain how you can find The Foundation as a boss NPC, showcasing its exact location, and revealing an easy way to defeat him.

Where is The Foundation boss located in Fortnite?

The Sanctuary is the new location added to the island map of Fortnite with the Chapter 3 Season 1 update. It is the secret home of the Seven and features a statue of The Foundation that overlooks this area.

Simply put, you can find The Foundation boss patroling The Sanctuary POI on the Fortnite island along the roads.

He is quite difficult to miss once you get to The Sanctuary, but since Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is very new, check out the map below marking its exact location on the map.

Keep in mind that if other players engage The Foundation first, he might already be dead, or have been pulled a bit further away from the initial location.

How to easily beat The Foundation boss

The Foundation boss is no joke. He has a tonne of health, as expected from a character with the likeness of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He also has a ball ability similar to that of Dr Doom and carries a powerful, Mythic Assault Rifle. 

While the standard method of grabbing some friends, shields and weapons then taking on the boss, peppering him with headshots might work, there's an easy way to defeat The Foundation in Fortnite.

Follow the steps below to defeat The Foundation with relative ease:

• Once you've spotted the boss at The Sanctuary, start building a high structure on his patrol route.
• Climb to the top of your structure and once he walks close to it, use a harpoon gun to pull him into the air.
• Time the harpoon gun pull so he doesn't land on your structure but instead falls next to it.
• This deals massive fall damage to The Foundation, making the fight a breeze.

If you fail and pull The Foundation onto your structure, you will have to either find a way to reset or take him down the traditional way; blasting him with whatever gun you have.
