Fortnite Season 6: How to unlock Mythic Primal Shotgun

The wait is over, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is here, bringing with it huge map changes, several new weapons, awesome new skins, and much more.

The new season has brought 15 new, craftable weapons, several significant map changes and new POIs, and probably our favourite novelty: you can now tame animals!

Amongst new weapons, there is also a new Mythic Primal Shotgun, which you can earn simply by defeating the Spire Assassin, a new boss on The Island, which is a part of new seasonal challenges.

Here's the best way to defeat him and put your hands on this shiny new weapon!

Fortnite Season 6: How to defeat the Spire Assassin

In order to obtain the new Mythic Primal Shotgun, you will have to take down the Spire Assassin.

And naturally, in order to do that, you will first need to locate them.

As the name suggests, they can be found near The Spire POI, a new central location on The Island, which is located right in the centre of the map.

Once you arrive you will need to climb all the way up and wait for the Spire Assassin to spawn.

Their strongest attack is stealth-based, and you should avoid them easily by simply keeping your distance and constantly moving backwards.

Use every opportunity to damage them and repeat until you beat them.

Once they are defeated, they will drop what you came for: Mythic Primal Shotgun known as Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun.

Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun applies 40 to 70 damage per attack, and it is excellent at close range. It fires two bullets per shot, and it has a relatively fast rate of fire.
