Fortnite Rainbow Royale: Free items, Love ISLV playlist, more

In celebration of the LGTBQIA+ community of Fornite, Epic Games has announced a new special event called Rainbow Royale.

"Everyone is welcome on the Battle Bus, and this week we’re celebrating the amazing Fortnite LGBTQIA+ community," Epic states in the announcement. "Check out everything happening in the game and beyond this week with the debut of Rainbow Royale."

The event comes several weeks following the end of June, which is celebrated as LGBTQ Pride Month and big corporations are often being criticized for using Pride Month to "get free points" and then forget about sexual minorities.

An in-game event dedicated to the LGTBQIA+ community happening after Pride Month has already ended is not a usual sight, and that's why Fortnite's LGTBQIA+ community is pleasantly surprised with Rainbow Royale.

All free Fortnite Rainbow Royale items

As a part of the celebration, a number of free items have been added to the Item Shop, which players can claim starting today, 20th July, until  27th July at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET / 2 am CET.

These are some of the free items available:

• Four Rainbow Royale Sprays: Vibrant Heart, Vibrant Llama, Vibrant Boogie, and Vibrant Star
• Sunshine & Rainbows Wrap
• Take a bow Emote

Fortnite Love ISLV radio

Asides from free items, with Rainbow Royale, players will get to enjoy a select number of tracks through Rocket League's Love ISLV playlist, which highlights LGBTQIA+ artists.
