Klomberries were an item added to the Fortnite map back last season when Chapter 3 came to fruition. The bright-blue berries are part of the narrative of the ongoing Fortnite seasons while providing another consumable option to players jumping into the battle royale.
When Chapter 3 Season 2 arrived with the no-building modes, the narrative took a turn as well, and the Klomberries were removed from the game in every fashion. There were no berry bushes scattered around the island, and no way to earn them. In update V20.20, they are back and that has new implications.
Klomberries in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2
When compared to the Klomberries from Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1, the function is still virtually the same. Players can find the same vine-like bushes in spots like LogJam Lumberyard as just one example. In general, they are fairly easy to find.
The bushes are always found in sets of three that sit right next to each other. You can interact with any of the bushes by holding down the usual interaction button, and two Klomberries will appear from each. When you pick these up, a secret quest progress bar will pop up.
Just like last week, the secret quest involves the Klombo to some degree, only this time it's berry specific. To complete the quest, you will need to collect 10 berries. That means five bushes found in two different locations should do the trick.

As for the berries themselves, they are consumables first and foremost. Picking one up and eating it will give you 10 shield points. They aren't incredibly strong, but still more useful than something like the shield mushroom, and nearly as easy to find.
One of the original purposes of the Klomberries was to directly feed the Klombos themselves, and that may make a return soon.
Klombos in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2
With the recent update, the Klombos are still missing from Fortnite. However, there are several hints at their return in an update soon enough. The first hint was last week and was tied to the mounds made by Klombos.
This week is the secret quest and the addition of the Klomberries, which could directly alter and attract Klombos last season. Using that same method of throwing a berry to attract seems to work on some of the mounds around the map. There is no Klombo appearance though, and instead, a small puff of smoke will rise, indicating their presence.
If the Klombos do return, be sure to note where all the berries have been waiting for someone to pick. For now, that's all there is to know about the Klomberries. If you're looking for more coverage, make sure to check out the rest of our dedicated Fortnite page.
