We are just a few weeks away from Apex Legends Season 10, and Respawn is starting to share the first exciting details about the content we can expect to come with the Season 10 update.
Called Emergence, Season 10 is slated to launch on 3rd August 2021 and Respawn has now revealed a glimpse of what is to come with the new season, including the look and the name of a new legend, Seer.
Asides from Seer, Season 10 will deliver a brand new weapon, introduce some drastic changes to World's Edge, and fans of the Arenas mode will finally get a chance to measure their skills against others in a Ranked Arenas mode.
Let's check out everything we know for now.
Season 10 new legend Seer
Revealed in an excellent new "Stories from the Outlands" video, called "Metamorphosis", Seer is the next legend to join the roster of playable characters in Apex Legends.
It is definitely one of the weirdest characters to be added to the game with a rather confusing backstory, involving moths and an asteroid hitting a satellite.
"A bad omen cast a shadow over Obi’s birth: will his light survive and emerge from the darkness?" reads the official description.
We currently don't know much about him, except that his abilities are "microdrones and an artist's eye," and that he is able to "spots opportunities that other legends might miss" which probably means that some of his abilities are related to vision and better map awareness.
Season 10 new weapon Rampage LMG
As it is expected with each new season, Season 10 Emergence is bringing a new weapon to Apex Legends' arsenal.
The Rampage is the latest light machine gun (LMG) to be added to the game, becoming the 4th LMG available in Apex Legends, after the Devotion LMG, the L-STAR EMG, and the M600 Spitfire.
While we currently don't have any gameplay details about the gun, it will be interesting to see where will the weapon rank on our Apex Legends weapon tier list.
Season 10 World's Edge update
While there will be no new map this time around, Season 10 Emergence will come with some significant changes to the World's Edge map, which include both changes in the map's layout and appearance, as well as some brand new POIs.
Respawn is being rather secretive about this, so we will have to wait a bit more to find out more details.
Season 10 ranked Arenas
Finally, a big update is coming for the Arenas mode in Season 10. It was already teased a few days ago, and now it is official - ranked play for Arenas is coming in Season 10!
Currently, we don't have any details on how will the system function and how similar (or different) will it be from Apex Legends' main ranked system, but we expect it to operate in a similar fashion, with slight adjustments to make it more suitable for a 3v3 mode.
These are all currently confirmed features and changes coming in Apex Legends Season 10 Emergence, but be sure to visit us again, as we will update the article with all the latest news about Season 10!
