Hot on the heels of Year 4's ALGS Championship, which took place in Sapporo, Japan, is a new record breaker for Apex Legends. The ALGS Year 5 Open is set to be the largest LAN in Apex Legends history, with 160 teams battling it out for their share of a $1 million prize pool.
Taking part in the ALGS Year 5 Open are 40 teams fresh out of the Preseason Qualifiers, mixed in with 120 invited Pro League teams. At the time of writing, the Preseason Qualifiers are still wrapping up, but Respawn have already announced the 120 Pro League teams expected to take part in the upcoming Open.

The ALGS Year 5 Open will be taking place from Thursday, May 1 until Sunday, May 4, 2025. The event will be held live at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
