The ALGS Championship 2024 is taking place in Sapporo, Japan, marking the first time the ALGS LAN has been brought to Asia. The event is set to take place from January 29 - February 2, 2025 at the Daiwa House PREMIST Dome where the best teams in Apex will be competing for the crown.
At the Group Stage, 40 teams will be split into four groups of 10 where they'll compete in a round-robin format. The top 20 teams of the stage will advance to the Winners Bracket, while the bottom 20 will fall to the Losers Bracket. The top 10 of the Winners Bracket will advance to the Final, and the bottom 10 of the Losers Bracket will be eliminated from the tournament. The remaining 20 teams will duke it out in a second Losers Bracket for the last 10 spots in the Final.

There's a $2,000,000 prize pool up for grabs, with the champions walking away with a hefty $600,000 share, plus the trophy. The Finals are set to take place on February 2, where the top 20 teams will compete in a Match-Point format - the first team to hit 50 points and then secure a first-place win.
In other news, E-District will be added to the map rotation for the Championship. Given that the map was only added in Season 22: Shockwave, and it known for rewarding strategic tactics, it's sure to shake up the tournament.
