Ubisoft's Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist is one of gaming's most celebrated stealth action-adventure series, and it just received a massive update this past week, catching many players off-guard. This latest update may reignite rumors on whether Ubisoft is looking to revitalize the Splinter Cell series in light of this update, but certainly, the publisher hasn't forgotten about them.

This latest update pertains to one of the games in this series, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which got a huge update for those who own the game on PC via Steam. Players who have yet to own this 2013 stealth action-adventure release can scoop up Splinter Cell: Blacklist, as it's currently discounted by 75% until 11th May 2025.

So, what's the massive update from Ubisoft for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist? According to a post from the game's Steam page on 28th April 2025, Ubisoft has finally made Steam Achievements available for the stealth action-adventure game, more than 12 years after its initial release as this joins other Ubisoft games to make Steam Achievements available, including Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs and several Assassin's Creed games.

"As a heads up, achievements will be retroactively earned for the accomplishments already completed in your game. For the sync to happen, you need to launch the game once," and "once synced, the previously unlocked Ubisoft Connect achievements will be automatically unlocked on Steam," the post read.

There are some omissions with the game's Steam Achievements, as Ubisoft had to remove a few that no longer apply to the current state or game version. "To ensure that you can complete 100% of the Steam Achievements for Splinter Cell: Blacklist, we've removed 19 achievements that required online services that are no longer available for the game," which we can assure that players will be able to unlock all Stem Achievements for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
