As the ongoing outbreak continues to keep us in quarantine, more gaming developers and companies are deciding to give us some freebies to keep us entertained during our stay at home. Sometimes those are some big companies but on other occasions some smaller indie developers, which is the case now.
These four interesting indie titles are currently entirely free to add to your Steam collection, so make sure to add them before the offer ends.
First one is Transpose, "a dreamlike and gravity-defying time manipulation puzzle game" in VR. It's an interesting experimental Virtual Reality game set in a universe where time and gravity are used as tools to manipulate the world. One of the main features of this game is a real-time player recording, which allows you to play your past actions in a real-time and to interact with your past selves, and in that way solving more complex puzzles increasingly. The game is actually tagged "co-op", but there is no multiplayer - you are your own co-op partner. My head already hurts from this, but it looks like a fun game, provided you have VR, of course. Here's the Steam page of the game.
Second free game to keep for this weekend is Gravity Wars. Developers describe it as a "hardcore 90s Arcade local multiplayer game where you have to avoid waves of geometry entities". So pretty much your standard top-down arcade co-op shoot 'em up, that drives inspiration from Geometry Wars. There are two superpowers, 12 arenas, and full controller support. Not much more to say here, go to their Steam page, and grab the game for free!
Next one is Arcade Moonlander Plus, a retro adventure game where the real challenge is precision and timing. You are a space explorer in a race against time. Games has 20 Arcade levels, as well as Adventure Mode which offers much more diversity, a bigger map that gives you a sense of progression, and dynamic obstacles in the form of gravity wells, space worms, falling stalactites, etc. It looks like the people on Steam love this one, so go and grab it while it's free!
And finally, the fourth free game for this weekend is Ticket to Ride: First Journey. We don't know much about this one, but the description says: "Ticket to Ride: First Journey takes the gameplay of the Ticket to Ride series and scales it downs for a younger audience. Very simple and family-friendly, Ticket to Ride: First Journey includes both North America and Europe maps."
So there you have it, new free games for your Steam library! Enjoy, and as always, we will inform you when some new free games are available!
