Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) and DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM) will continue their run in the VCT Pacific Kickoff after defeating Team Secret and Global Esports in the lower bracket. RRQ will now face Ascension winner Nongshim RedForce, earlier known as SPG, while DFM will go up against PRX.

Team Secret won the first map, Lotus, against RRQ with a score of 13-9, but the rest of the series was dominated by RRQ. They clinched both Pearl and Haven with commanding 13-4 victories to secure the series 2-1.

"It took us a little bit of time to come online and I feel like we didn’t really play the way we usually do," said Estrella in the post-match interview. "So, after Lotus, we told ourselves to play to our strengths, focus, and do what we do best. The second and third maps were good to go after that."

DFM, on the other hand, destroyed Global Esports from the start, putting up a massive 10-2 lead in the first half of Abyss. Although GE attempted a comeback, the gap was too large and DFM closed out the map with a 13-8 victory.

The second map was much closer, with neither team taking full control as the game went into overtime. However, thanks to Meiy’s four kills in the first round of overtime, DFM gained the upper hand and defeated GE 14-12, securing the series by 2-0.

"Against Paper Rex, everyone’s going to be nervous. But we need to build confidence, play like we do in practice, and if we have that confidence, we’ll win," said Meiy, sharing thoughts on the team’s upcoming matchup.

With this elimination, Team Secret and Global Esports are officially out of contention for Masters Bangkok. Meanwhile, RRQ and DFM keep their hopes alive; however, to secure their ticket to the international stage, they must finish as one of the top two teams in the Kickoff.
