T1 and Team Liquid survive Valorant Masters Bangkok elimination by sending Trace Esports and Sentinels home. They will now be moving to the final round of Swiss Stage to face DRX and G2, respectively, to fight for playoffs qualification.
T1 defeated Trace Esports in a dominating fashion by 2-0. The first map Lotus was a mastery by T1 as they won it with a huge margin of 10 rounds. The final scoreline was 10-3. Trace was able to keep things close in the first half of Haven but T1 pushed them to back foot in the second half to close it out at 13-8.
"It doesn't make sense to me that anyone would underestimate Pacific and we'll prove why you are wrong this tournament," BuZz sends a clear message to the doubters after the win.
Sentinels on the other hand started off with a 13-7 map win on Lotus, but Team Liquid pushed the series to third map after a long fight on Abyss entering three overtimes.
Bind belonged to Team Liquid as they destroyed the opponents to win the map by 13-1 and reverse sweep them by 2-1.
"We are comfortable in the lower bracket, I think the Kickoff really helped us as we played five elimination matches. I think that's why we thrive under pressure. I think mostly it comes down to mental preparation, shifting the mentality, learning from our mistakes," LohaN shared thoughts on playing elimination games back to back at Masters.
Both T1 and Team Liquid will play their next games on February 24 and you'll be able to catch the action live on VCT's official Twitch and YouTube channels.
