Team Vitality is the first team to secure playoffs spot at Valorant Masters Bangkok by beating DRX by 2-1. Featuring the top seeds from EMEA and Pacific, it was the first series of the event to hit the third map.

Team Vitality will now be up against the winner of the EDG vs. G2 matchup, while on the other hand, DRX will be fighting the loser to stay alive in the tournament.

The first map Bind ended up in Team Vitality's favor with 13-8 score as they dominated both halves. Abyss on the other hand was neck-on-neck as the scoreline hit 6-6 at the end of first half, the second half delivered a close game as well, with DRX pushing the series to the third map.

While Vitality ended up winning Split, it was a game of small margins in the end. DRX started off strong by winning the first four rounds of the map, but Vitality snatched away the lead winning eight dominating rounds back to back.

However, DRX bounced back to take the game close but fell short just one round as Vitality closed the game at 13-11.

With this roster, this would be our first ever loss, but of course it stinks. Losing sucks, but considering that today, we went up against the first seed of EMEA Kickoff. I think we played really well and I feel like Vitality and G2, they are playing at the highest level, when it comes to Valorant and the international scene. We lost by a small margin, so I am very very proud of the players and what they were able to do against Vitality. So, if we just tighten up our plays a little bit more, we can beat them," said termi, the head coach of DRX.
