Star Wars: Squadrons flew into the hearts of Star Wars fans as the space dogfighting title we've been waiting for. However, fans have been wondering if the game will get post-launch content in the form of DLC or a Season Pass. Developer EA Motive has now commented on the topic of a Season Pass or DLC for Star Wars: Squadrons.
Will Star Wars: Squadrons get a Season Pass?
The answer, for those who have been worried EA might turn the game into a live service title, is a resounding "no". Star Wars: Squadrons will very likely not be getting a Season Pass or post-launch DLC content.
In an interview with UploadVR, EA Motive's creative director, Ian Frazier, explained how the developer's goal was to make a straightforward title, which was complete at launch, instead of stretching out content via DLC or Season Passes.

While it is not completely out of the question that, at some point in the future, the game might get content updates, the version players have now is the complete experience.
Ian Frazier explains: "Never say never, so to speak, but as far as our philosophy goes we’re not trying to treat the game as a live service.
"We don’t want to say, 'It’s almost done!' and then dribble out more of it over time, which to be honest is how most games work these days.
"So we’ve tried to treat it in kind of an old-school approach saying, 'You’ve paid the $40, this is the game and it’s entirely self-contained'. We’re not planning to add more content, this is the game, and we hope you understand the value proposition."
While this is great news for those gamers who are tired of throwing their wallets at Season Passes and DLC content, the developer could very well add some more ships or game modes to Star Wars: Squadrons in the future.

However, you shouldn't be seeing a Star Wars: Squadrons Season Pass or paid DLC going forward, especially not something which makes the base game feel like an incomplete experience.
