We're coming up on four years since the biggest baseball simulation franchise stopped being a PlayStation exclusive, and fans are already wondering if MLB The Show 24 will make it to Xbox Game Pass. It wouldn't be unprecedented, as a Day One release on Game Pass has become a staple of the series in recent years. Here's everything we know so far about when MLB The Show 24 will be available on Xbox Game Pass.
When will MLB The Show 24 be on Xbox Game Pass?
MLB The Show 21 broke the platform barrier by hitting Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One back in April 2021, but the even more surprising move was it became an Xbox Game Pass Day One release. It was a bold choice, but Sony San Diego definitely capitalized on the opportunity to grow their player base.
As we look ahead to the next release, it has now been confirmed that MLB The Show 24 will be a Day One arrival on Xbox Game Pass. It'll be available on the worldwide MLB The Show 24 release date of March 19, 2024 to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers. The last three installments of this franchise were Day One releases on Xbox Game Pass, and they're clearly not changing that yet.
Now that we have details about the pre order rewards and all the various MLB The Show 24 editions, it's been confirmed that non-standard editions will include four days of early access. If you want to start playing on Friday, March 15, 2024, you'll have to snag one of the deluxe options ahead of launch day.
Fortunately, for Xbox Game Pass subscribers even that comes at a discount. You can purchase the Digital Deluxe Add-On Bundle for $39.99 to get early access along with the Diamond Dynasty bonus rewards. There is one potential risk in that Xbox Game Pass games could theoretically be removed at a later date, but so far every MLB The Show installment on Xbox has remained on Game Pass at least until the next game is released.
