With the release of MLB The Show 24 coming soon, players are excited to see if the latest game continues to expand onto additional platforms as they have in the last few years. While it was originally a PlayStation exclusive, MLB The Show started branching out with an Xbox release for MLB The Show 21 that was followed by a Nintendo Switch debut for MLB The Show 22. Will MLB the Show 24 keep that trend going and be released on PC?
Will MLB The Show 24 be on PC?
Sadly, MLB The Show 24 is not getting a PC release. Despite their new platform additions as of late, PC remains elusive and Sony San Diego has not confirmed any timeline for a PC release in the future. The MLB The Show 24 release date is set for March 19, 2024, and it will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
The best chances for a PC release will likely be when they move on from past generation consoles, and that's a move which could be influenced most by the next iteration of the Nintendo Switch rumored to land later in 2024. As of now, certain features like Stadium Creator remain locked to next generation versions of MLB The Show 24 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Once they stop producing a past generation version of the game, there may be enough feature parity between the platforms that Sony San Diego can dedicate time to including a PC port as well. In the interim, baseball lovers on PC should try Out of the Park Baseball 24. While it doesn't have the same in-game realism as MLB The Show, the series has the deepest and most customizable franchise mode imaginable.
