MLB The Show 24 Editions, Pre Order Rewards Explained

With the next installment of the biggest baseball simulation franchise around on the way, players will need to decide which of the MLB The Show 24 editions is right for them. As always, each edition is packed with specific pre order rewards and other benefits.

We'll take a closer look at all the MLB The Show 24 editions below and break down exactly what players will receive. If you're looking to score Early Access, only a few of the MLB The Show 24 editions will offer it.

MLB The Show 24 Pre Order Rewards & Editions Explained

As we first learned, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is this year's MLB The Show 24 cover athlete for the Standard Edition of the game. Sony San Diego later announced the Collector's Edition this year will be the MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues Edition.

We first saw the Negro Leagues spotlighted in last year's Storylines mode, and the multi-year commitment between Sony San Diego and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum continues this year. For every MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues Edition sold in the US by the end of the year, they'll donate $1 to support the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum's continuing preservation of African American baseball.

The Negro Leagues are also featured on the MVP Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition of MLB The Show 24. Just like last year's game, MLB The Show 24 will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Most of the MLB The Show 24 pre order rewards are specific to Diamond Dynasty. Packs, stubs, bat skins, and double daily rewards are all bonuses that'll give players a head start in that game mode. Let's break down exactly what each edition has in store for players.

MLB The Show 24 Standard Edition (Last Gen & Current Gen)

If you just want the base game, the MLB The Show 24 release date for the Standard Edition is March 19, 2024. You can pre order the Current Gen Standard Edition (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S) for $69.99 or get the Last Gen Standard Edition (PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) for $59.99.

Players who purchase the Current Gen Standard Edition will also get Dual Entitlement, so for the extra $10 you can play it on a PS4 or Xbox One and have a digital copy ready for when you purchase a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. As in previous years, Dual Entitlement stays within console families, the PS5 edition comes with a PS4 copy and Xbox Series X|S edition comes with an Xbox One copy.

The pre order rewards for the Current Gen Standard Edition include:

The pre order rewards for the Last Gen Standard Edition include:

For Xbox players not worried about these extra bonus rewards, the MLB The Show 24 Standard Edition will also be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch for all subscribers.

MLB The Show 24 MVP Edition

The next step up for players will be the MLB The Show 24 MVP Edition which is available for for $84.99 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. In addition to the Standard Edition of the game, players will get the following bonus rewards:

The Early Access reward means the MLB The Show 24 release date will be March 15, 2024 for players with this version of the game.

MLB The Show 24 Digital Deluxe Edition

If you want even more Diamond Dynasty rewards, MLB The Show 24 Digital Deluxe Edition will be availble for $99.99 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. You'll receive the following bonus rewards:

Lastly, the physical collector's edition is the MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues Edition. This special version is exclusively available at retailers for $124.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

As it does include Dual Entitlement, players on past generation versions of those consoles will be able to snag the next gen version of their platform and still play on the last gen console. You'll also receive the following rewards:
