Marvel's Midnight Suns are about to get a little crazy as the anticipated arrival of Wade Wilson / Deadpool has arrived, bringing with him plenty of witty one-liners, fourth wall breakage, and chimichangas. While he may be aware that it's not his team to lead, his unpredictable combat skills make him one of the most dangerous damage specialists, which primarily premises on his El Fuego meter.
As the character is included in the game's first DLC for the game, available separately, the Season Pass and the Legendary Edition, the only thing left to do is to recruit him. Here's how you can unlock Deadpool and enjoy the chimichangas poolside in Midnight Suns.
How To Add Deadpool To The Team In Midnight Suns?
We've previously detailed how to acquire the first DLC for Midnight Suns, The Good, the Bad, and the Undead, for which Wade Wilson / Deadpool will be included as the next playable character. This can be achieved by purchasing the DLC through your favorite gaming storefront, acquiring the game's Season Pass, or owning the Legendary Edition.
With the DLC acquired and installed, players must meet specific requirements before meeting up with the Merc with a Mouth in-game. While it's not as simple as updating the game, and Wade will be waiting for you, you'll need to play through the game and invite Deadpool to the Abbey with his Food Truck too.
We've listed the in-game requirements you'll need to unlock Deadpool in Midnight Suns:
- Complete the Story Mission "Spidermaaaans," which unlocks Peter Parker / Spider-Man
- Complete the Spider-Man unmasking following the "Spidermaaaans" Story Mission during the game's Act One
- Complete the "A Man of Culture" Story Mission by visiting the Mirror Table at the War Room
Once you've begun the "A Man of Culture" Story Mission, the Heroes involved in this mission, including the Hunter, will be introduced to the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool himself. After the mission has been completed, you can return to the Abbey, inviting Deadpool as a guest, and you'll have unlocked him as a playable character.
According to a tweet from Firaxis' creative director Jake Solomon, should you pass the required Story Mission unlock mentioned above, the "A Man of Culture" Story Mission will still be available from the Mirror Table regardless. This Story Mission can be played at any point in your gameplay campaign, which you'll need to complete to unlock Deadpool.
Lastly, those who've started on the Midnight Suns New Game + (NG+) can also unlock Deadpool once they've completed the "Spidermaaaans" Story Mission. However, they won't be able to recruit him before the required Story Mission unlock as they need to complete the "Spidermaaaans" and "A Man of Culture" Story Missions to recruit him.
