Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is one of this year’s most anticipated releases, giving fans a modern way to replay these Infinity Gems. Fans are hoping this leads to an eventual Marvel vs Capcom 4, but that’s a tough entry to predict, given the licensing issues.

As fans ponder on a potential fourth entry, Capcom has released a new trailer that showcases the “original” game in this series. Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Heroes might be the “first” game in this series, but it was technically the third entry if every crossover is concerned.

In this new trailer from the Marvel vs Capcom collection, Clash of Heroes is spotlighted since it is the first entry to use the MVC name. Beyond that title, characters like Mega Man, Captain Commando, and Venom also made their debut in this iconic franchise.

Before Clash of Heroes was released, there were already two crossover games between Marvel and Capcom: X-Men vs Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter. Those games helped set the standard for this crazy series, with Clash of Heroes taking things further. Players could pick an assist-only character in addition to their tag team, making battles even more hectic.

Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics doesn’t have a release date, though it is coming out this year. Fans will be able to play this epic collection on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
