Fisch Cursed Sea Rods: All New Fishing Rods

Ready to reel in something huge? The Cursed Sea update in Fisch is by far the game’s biggest patch yet! We’re talking a whole new world to explore, a fresh currency, a raised level cap, and a collection of new fishing rods. Some of them are easy to grab, while others are locked behind tricky quests.

Here are all the rods that have been added in the Cursed Sea update in Fisch, including a rundown of their abilities and how to unlock them.

Note: This page is a stub. The Cursed Sea patch only comes out on Saturday, 29th March 2025 at 1 PM GMT or 8 AM EST. I will update it once I know more about the different rods and their obtainment methods. 

All Fishing Rods In Cursed Sea Update Of Fisch

The Cursed Sea update has introduced a ton of new fishing rods to the game. Some are relatively easy to obtain (like you just need to buy them at the merchant); however, others will demand a bit of effort by completing long, complicated quests to add them to your inventory.

Right now, only six new fishing rods have been revealed, all of which were showcased in the Cursed Seas trailer. But with only 30–40% of the full update shown, it’s clear that even more rods are being kept under wraps for launch day!

• Verdant Shear Rod: A scissor-sword hybrid rod that spawns trees around you and mutates your fish into tree-like variants. 
• Frog Rod: Spawns frogs over time. Each frog increases your luck.
• Free Spirit Rod: Can trigger a rain of gems, mutating fish to resemble the gem held by the skeletal hand. It's very hard to get, requiring a lengthy quest.
• Rod of the Lagoon, Wildflower Rod, and Firefly Rod: Starter rods that help you begin your Second Sea journey and work up toward unlocking the rarer ones.

The trailer did not mention how you'll be able to obtain these rods (besides the Starter Rods, which I'm assuming you can outright buy for cheap or unlock for free). I will update this page when the update launches.
