What is I Am Groot?

The upcoming animated short series I Am Groot will follow the story of Baby Groot as he grows up.

Little Groot's childhood is an unusual one, of course. He's growing up in the galaxy, after all - so fans will get to see him go on a variety of wild and wacky adventures as well as interact with beloved fan favorite characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Disney's 2020 investor presentation, the series will feature new characters as well as those familiar to fans of the Guardians of the Galaxy universe. On 5th June 2022, Marvel Studios posted a teaser for the upcoming series on its Twitter account:

The image displays Groot laying on a towel next to a tiny mixed drink and air freshener. From the look of it, Baby Groot will feature a slight redesign in the I Am Groot Disney+ series.

I Am Groot series premiere date

I am Groot will officially premiere on 10th August 2022. The initial premiere will feature five shorts for fans to enjoy.

Those who want to watch I Am Groot will be able to catch every episode of the series on Disney+ as soon as they release.
