The developers of the action RPG "Marvel's Avengers," Crystal Dynamics recently announced another cinematic cosmetic for one of its famous characters, Kate "Hawkeye" Bishop.
The studio introduced the hero's outfit to the game's marketplace on 20th January 2022 and featured Takedowns for Kate Bishop and Clint Barton. However, while the main highlight is the character's suit design, the developer came under fire for lacking attention to a particular cosmetic feature.
Marvel's Avengers fans are unhappy with the Hawkeye cosmetic
Since the launch of Marvel's Avengers, the developer has frequently added new cinematic cosmetics inspired by the characters appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.
More recently, the studio released a new cinematic cosmetic for Kate Bishop, based on the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
This is the moment she became who she is supposed to be.

The cosmetic was praised for a few elements, including the character's purple-coloured costume design representing a near-perfect recreation of the on-screen suit in Hawkeye. Unfortunately for the developer, however, it was also heavily criticised for its inaccurate character hair design.
One Twitter user responded to the announcement, saying, "Kate [Bishop] doesn't have her accurate hairstyle. This is pure laziness. Once again, this game proves how shitty it is. Not giving you guys my money."
Another user mocked Crystal Dynamics for making money from microtransactions, despite numerous issues plaguing the game.
"Communicate with players about how broken the game is and how they are planning on fixing it?! Na Crystal Dynamics be like, 'Our game may be a broken mess, but here's a shiny new skin give us money now!'," they said.
"If only they could fix issues as efficiently as they can nerf stuff, we wouldn't have any bug in the game by now," a third added in response to the announced cosmetic.
Others complained about the Kate Bishop cinematic cosmetic pricing, while another user opted to roast the developers on who gave the character a better treatment. "Fortnite did it better!" they tweeted.
This is not the first time the developer crossed hairs with its player base. Fans previously called them out over the inaccurate hair design from the Black Widow film.
Players are still unhappy with the technical state of the game, with many commenting on a lack of new in-game content, broken Raid and matchmaking, and low player counts.
"Can't even matchmake anymore, in any mission. It just gets hung up forever. How do things get worse with patches?" user Yarrowgarrow posted on the game's subreddit.
As many players report on various issues hampering the game, the developer is trying to remedy as many issues as possible. While these issues won't go away unless addressed, the studio will need to listen more to its player base before more problems arise.
