Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra To Be Published By Embracer-Owned PLAION

Embracer Group-owned publisher PLAION, previously Koch Media, has entered a publishing partnership with developer Skydance New Media to publish the forthcoming action-adventure game Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. The publisher made the announcement this week, which they revealed to be bringing Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra to global audiences when it launches in 2025.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was officially announced in October 2021, with the casting announcement revealed at the D23 Expo in 2022. The game's title was only revealed almost two years later at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in March 2024 during Epic's State of Unreal presentation, for which the developer confirmed utilizing Unreal Engine 5.

The forthcoming action-adventure game is a collaboration between Skydance New Media and Marvel Games, with studio head Amy Hennig at the helm. According to an official statement from PLAION CEO Klemens Kundratitz, they expressed their excitement about having "entered into a worldwide publishing partnership" with the developer.

Following its official announcement, it's been confirmed that players will play as the game's four main protagonists: Steve Rogers/Captain America, Azzuri/Black Panther, Gabriel Jones, and Wakandan Spy Network leader Nanali. No release date has been confirmed as of writing, but Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is currently slated for a 2025 release, with more details likely to be announced in the coming months.
