Marvel Rivals has officially launched as players globally have assembled to "ignite the battle" and thwart any attempts by Doctor Doom and his variant, Doom 2099 before the "Timestream Entanglement engulfs the Multiverse." As we see new team-ups between the current roster of heroes, plenty more heroes across the Multiverse may join the quest to help unravel the mysteries that await them.
With the superhero team-based PvP shooter now available on consoles and PCs, developer NetEase Games released a new trailer for the game's debut season, Dooms' Rise. The trailer outlines the story that players will unravel throughout the season surrounding Doctor Doom and his variant, Doom 2099, which our heroes set off on a journey through time as they assemble for the eventual showdown.
The trailer had a few details that appeared, and some were more upfront, like the God of the Symbiotes, Knull, and others that players may have missed. One little detail that briefly appeared in the Season 0 trailer may have alluded to a few heroes that could join the roster, like Marvel's "First Family," the Fantastic Four.
During the trailer, at the 1:44 time mark, we can see Tony Stark / Iron Man or possibly the Iron Man armor suit being worked on by one Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic. This corroborates recent rumors circulating online on Mister Fantastic being a potential playable character for the superhero team-based PvP shooter.
While it's unclear as to when players can expect more teases of the Fantastic Four joining the Marvel Rivals roster, it's pretty common for the trailers to tease future heroes, as evident in Moon Knight being teased in Psylocke's trailer and the Black Widow in the HYDRA: Charteris Base: Hell's Heaven reveal. Likewise, we don't know if the Fantastic Four, or in this case, Mister Fantastic, will be announced for Season 0 or its subsequent season, which begins in early 2025; we'll update this page once it has been confirmed.
