It's been less than a week since the global release of NetEase Games' superhero team-based PvP shooter Marvel Rivals. Since its launch, 10 million players have joined and banded together to "ignite the battle" and prevent the Timestream Entanglement from collapsing, a monumental feat that speaks to the game's future.
However, some issues were experienced at launch, including in-game purchases, specific Maps and Heroes, and a few other areas that players reported. As such, the developer officially announced that the game's first post-launch patch update is ready to be deployed; however, details have yet to be revealed as to what changes players can expect.
It's expected that bugs and technical errors will be experienced with any gaming release, and this is true for Marvel Rivals. A few issues have been made public like some players having problems purchasing on Steam, for which the developer has released a workaround, which will likely be addressed shortly.
This is the case as the developer posted to the official Marvel Rivals social media accounts on 10th December 2024 that a patch update will make its way to consoles and PCs. According to the social media post, this update will be released to patch "multiple issues related to Maps, Game Modes, Heroes, and other content," which players can continue participating in matches when the patch update goes live.
The patch update will be deployed on the aforementioned date at 12 am PT / 3 am ET / 8 am UTC / 5 pm JPT/KRT across all available platforms. The developer promised to provide more information before the patch update is released, which likely contains the patch notes that players can view to see all the changes made for consoles and PCs.
