Marvel Rivals developer NetEase Games released a statement last weekend, updating its player base on a slew of "experimental" changes available to play test. The developer has revealed the contents of this "experimental update," which includes balance changes, game optimizations, and bug fixes made available for consoles and PCs.
As such, the developer confirmed that following the end of the Closed Beta period, which shuts down on 5th August 2024 at 7 am UTC / 3 am ET / 12 am PT, "a special, small-scale trial" will be live on the Playtest portal for a limited time. This trial sees an update being rolled out, in which players are encouraged to participate to explore a few new changes brought to the superhero team-based PvP shooter.
NetEase Games posted to their official Twitter account on 4th August 2024 that a new game update will be available for players with access to the Closed Beta Test Playtest portal. The "experimental update" features balance adjustments for a few characters, including Hulk and Storm, for which players are encouraged to participate in "a special, small-scale trial" following the end of the Closed Beta Test.
As such, this "small-scale trial" will slightly extend the Closed Beta Test by six hours, which this test bids farewell to players at 1 pm UTC / 9 am ET / 6 am PT. This allows all players to test new features like DLSS Frame Generation, explore the adjustments made, and fix a few bug issues like a reported crash "that plagued slow-loading HDDs."
The developer encourages those participating in this "special, small-scale trial" to provide valuable "feedback" should they experience "any problems during this process." With Marvel Rivals' Closed Beta Test officially concluding this month, players are eagerly anticipating the possible announcement of its next beta test period for consoles and PCs, as a release date announcement is imminent.
