Zero Build Staying In Fortnite Season 5’s Chapter 1 Map

Fortnite fans are often reminiscing about the game's original Chapter 1 map. For many, it was a simpler time, with basic POIs that were dynamic enough to offer great gameplay strategies. One key element of Chapter 1's map were it's variety of levels, allowing for various vantage points across the map. 

Of course, players were easily able to access these vantage points thanks to the ability to build. Finding your way up and around Dusty Mountain was rarely a problem when you could build yourself some stairs to the top. So, with Zero Build now in rotation, fans have been left wondering how exactly that's going to work with the classic POIs. Some were even skeptical that the mode would be available at all. 

Zero Build Coming To Fortnite Chapter 1 Map, Say Leaks

According to Fortnite leaker @ShiinaBR, the returning Chapter 1 map will include Zero Build. In response to a comment which expressed sadness over the map having no Zero Build, Shiina said, "wont be removed."

Another comment then dug a little deeper, asking, "So we will have zero build with no sprint or mantle?" to which Shiina replied, "no." So it seems that not only will Zero Build be sticking around, but players will still be able to use the same movement mechanics that they've grown accustomed to in the alternate mode.

Leaks have also confirmed that the Chapter 1 map, returning as part of Chapter 4 Season 5, will feature old guns and models. It will also experience constant map changes until the end of November.
