Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 was a significant update for the battle royale community as it brought plenty of new content for the players to explore. And now, it seems that the game is about to get even more exciting as a new wall-kicking movement mechanic has been leaked by Fortnite data miners.
The leak was initially teased by a renowned data miner, Wenso, claiming an upcoming movement mechanic called Wall Kicking is set to arrive with one of Fortnite's future updates. With that said, we will explain this new mechanic and how you can use it in Fortnite to your advantage.
Fortnite Wall Kicking Movement Mechanic, Explained
In a Tweet, the leaker explained that the Wall Kicking mechanic would allow Fortnite players to jump off walls and gain height quickly. Although the gameplay video has not been uncovered yet, the data miner has posted a GIF showcasing how it could look once it's released in the game.
The leaker further revealed that players could 'kick' themselves up walls by sprinting, jumping, and then jumping again next to a wall. He further added the strength of it depends on the horizontal/vertical velocity & distance from the walls.

- You'll kick yourself up walls (like the gif)
- You wall kick by sprinting, jumping and then jumping again next to a wall
- The strength of it depends on your horizontal/vertical velocity & distance from walls#Fortnitepic.twitter.com/rj0Dakx8Ul
On top of that, Wall kicking overrides mantling, but you can mantle once again when the wall kick is finished. The direction of it also depends on your horizontal/vertical velocity.
So, although the Wall Kicking mechanic seems exciting, it's worth noting that players might have to deal with a lot of restrictions while using it.
