When Is Fortnite OG Coming Back?

Fortnite players old and new reignited their passion for the Battle Royale with the game's Season OG. This limited-time content brought back classic Fortnite weapons, POIs and more for players to relive some of their glory days for a single season. 

Season OG was a huge success, and saw Fortnite reach its biggest ever day, with over 44 million players hopping in to see what all the fuss was about. But despite its achievements, Fortnite OG was shortlived, coming to an end with the launch of Chapter 5 Season 1 on December 3, 2023. But it might not be gone forever. There's talk of Fortnite OG coming back, albeit in a slightly different form.

Fortnite OG To Get Separate Game Mode, Say Leaks

Known Fortnite leaker HYPEX took to X, suggesting that Fortnite OG could return as its own separate mode in Fortnite. The leaks originally came via @Egyptian_Leaker and @SpushFNBR, who spotted that Fortnite OG received a separate playlist or mode tag in the game's v28.10 update.

"Fortnite OG Part 2 is being worked on as a SEPARATE Mode," HYPEX said. "We don't know if it'll be permanent or temporary again, but it received a separate playlist/mode tag in today's update."

At the time of writing, Epic Games has yet to announce any information on the return of Fortnite OG, but it would seem promising. Given the success of Fortnite OG, the appeal of a separate mode is certainly there. 

For now, however, we'll need to wait and see if these leaks prove true. Elsewhere in Fortnite, Solid Snake has finally been unlocked and added in-game, bringing with him a whole batch of Solid Snake Quests for players to get stuck into — as long as they have the Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass.
