Epic Games has been ramping up the anime collaborations in Fortnite these past few seasons. Following the massive success of the Naruto crossover, followed by the Dragon Ball collaboration, more and more popular current-gen animes have received their own Fortnite makeovers.
Swiftly following the Dragon Ball collaboration, Fortnite saw My Hero Academia characters Deku, Bakugo, Uraraka, and All Might get their own in-game skins. The collaboration also added in Deku's Smash as a Mythic ability, and added the U.A. High training grounds as a Creative map. Now, it seems like My Hero Academia is getting a second wave of skins, this time adding in more of Class 1A's cast of characters.
Update 12 September: This article has been updated with the latest news and updates regarding the My Hero Academia wave 2 skins.
Fortnite x My Hero Academia Wave 2: All Skins
Fortnite's anime collaborations getting a second wave is nothing new, with it happening for both the Naruto and Dragon Ball collaborations, the latter of which saw Piccolo and Gohan join the collection. So perhaps it's no surprise that a second wave of My Hero Academia characters are also on the way.
Previously, the new collaboration was leaked via @LeafsMatrix on X (Twitter), who had previously correctly leaked the Khaby Lame and Ahsoka skins joining Fortnite as part of the Chapter 4 Season 4 Battle Pass. According to the data miner, the following MHA characters are getting Fortnite skins:
- Shoto Todoroki (Shoto)
- Eijiro Kirishima (Red Riot)
- Mina Ashido (Pinky)
As of September 12, it has been confirmed that the above skins are indeed coming to Fortnite. The MHA Deku's Smash Mythic ability is also set to return, alongside the brand new Ice Wall Mythic themed around Shoto Todoroki.
Fortnite x My Hero Academia Wave 2: Release Date
The My Hero Academia wave 2 collaboration is expected to drop with the v26.10 update. It seems that the original My Hero Academia skin line-up will not be returning to the Item Shop along with this new collection, so those who missed out on Deku, Bakugo, and Uraraka the first time around will sadly miss out.
All three of the new skins, Kirishima, Mina, and Shoto will be available with the v26.10 update, however at the time of writing, the update has yet to go live in-game. Epic Games has also yet to reveal more in-depth details about the collaboration.
