Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 has been a fresh start for the popular battle royale in many ways, thanks to the new map, upgraded Unreal Engine 5 visuals, and a multitude of other new additions.
Fortnite Creative 2.0, formally known as Unreal Editor for Fortnite, has also been a long time coming. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney recently revealed the release window for this much-awaited update. While more concrete details on Creative 2.0 are scarce, a new rumor indicates that a LEGO Fortnite crossover could be in work for this upcoming mode.
The aforementioned information comes from Fortnite creator GMatrixGames, who recently also suggested a Family Guy crossover. According to them, the Fortnite Lego crossover is real, and Epic Games is working on a "full Brick Database for Unreal Engine." GMatrixGames speculates that there will be a LEGO Island.
Earlier in Chapter 4 Season 1, Epic Games added a Mr.Beast island via Fortnite Creative, so a LEGO crossover doesn't seem too far-fetched. If anything, this makes perfect sense and could showcase the potential of the new Unreal Editor.
Unfortunately, Epic Games has yet to confirm or hint anything about this alleged collab, so fans should take this info with a grain of salt.
In other news, Epic Games is gearing up to release the Unreal Editor for Fortnite. In an interview with FastCompany, Sweeney revealed that the new creative mode will have an economy system similar to Roblox, which "will support creators actually building businesses around their work and making increasing amounts of profit from the commerce that arises from people playing their content."
The Unreal Editor for Fortnite is slated to release in late January 2023.
