Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5: Best Landing Spots
The latest season of Fortnite brings various changes to the Island, including the return of Tilted Towers, Retail Row, and more. As a result, the recent map changes will directly impact the metagame, including which locations players will deem the best to land for the current season.
In Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 (Fortnite OG), the best landing spots in-game are very similar to those we had back in Fortnite's infancy. So, let's look at all the best landing spots that you can use this season:
- Retail Row: This memorable POI is one of the best places to land in the early game, providing plenty of coverage for players to scramble around in search of good loot. And here, there's plenty. Take a moment to dip into the rows of stores to find decent weapons hidden among the shelves. You'll also have great vantage points to take out any roaming opponents caught out in the open. Oh, it's also a great spot to grab a Shopping Cart.
- Lazy Links: Positioned nicely at the edge of the map, this is a grweat place to drop if you're looking for some action, but not enough to swarm you with enemies. The layout here lends itself nicely to some strategic combat, and there's plenty of loot spots to get yourself geared up and ready to fight.
- Paradise Palms: A metropolis that acts as a shining beacon for those in the desert biome. Paradise Palms is a great landing spot, also found to the edge of the map, that provides plenty of buildings, structures and more for a successful early game play. There's no shortage of loot to be found here, you'll just need to do some exploring
- Pleasant Park: While not quite as close to the edge of the map as some of our other favorites, Pleasant Park is a great place to begin your match. On its own, the POI provides players with a decent loot selection and cover, but its proximity to both Loot Lake and Tilted Towers makes it a great place to start before moving into more contested areas.
You might be thinking: "Why not Tilted Towers?" If you want to drop right into the firefight, then Titled Towers is certainly the way to go. But if you land there and struggle to find any decent loot before the waves of opposing players, you might as well consider yourself eliminated. This is as hot a spot as you'll get this season, so you'll need to be confident to drop here.
