Lachlan's Pickaxe Frenzy: How to get new Fortnite Lachlan skin for free

Aussie Fortnite content creator Lachlan Power will be the next big name to become a part of the game through the Icon Series.

The Icon Series is Epic's way of introducing big streamers and celebrities into the game, by creating various skins and other items designed to look like them and to represent things they are most famous for.

We've seen many celebrities before, but when it comes to Fortnite content creators, up until now only Kathleen "Loserfruit" Belsten and Tyler "Ninja" Blevins had their likeness present in the game.

And now Lachlan Power will be joining them.

With almost 15M subscribers on YouTube, Lachlan is one of the biggest Fortnite content creators in the world, so it comes as no surprise to see him featured in the Icon Series.

Lachlan will boast a full set of cosmetic items, which will include an outfit, pickaxe, back bling, and emote, and it will be obtainable through the Item Shop in Season 4.

Lachlan will fully show off the skin on 7th November at 6:50 PM EST.

Fortnite v14.50 update comes on Tuesday, 3rd November, but Lachlan's Icon Series set will come at a later date in the Item Shop, on Thursday, 12th November, at 7 PM ET.

Epic will probably sell them all in a bundle and as individual items for a higher price.

How to get the Lachlan Fortnite skin for free?

You can get the new Lachlan cosmetic set completely free by participating and winning the Lachlan's Pickaxe Frenzy tournament.

Lachlan's Pickaxe Frenzy Start Date

Epic is organizing a tournament called Lachlan's Pickaxe Frenzy to celebrate the release of Lachlan's skin set.

The tournament starts on 8th November, and everyone is eligible to participate.

Lachlan’s Pickaxe Frenzy Format

• The tournament is a Trios event.
• Players are limited to use only Pickaxe as their primary weapon.
• No shields or healing items will be available.
• You can only heal by eliminating an opponent or emoting.
• Building material caps is set to 10.

When the tournament ends in all regions, the winning team of each region will receive a very special reward: the new Lachlan cosmetic set completely free, four days before anyone else.
