Fortnite Chapter 3 has been off to a roaring start with so much new content for players to enjoy. The continuation of the storyline has introduced new characters like Spiderman and The Rock, as the Fortnite map has completely flipped on its head.
What hasn't changed from past seasons of Fortnite are the weekly challenges, allowing players to unlock massive amounts of XP. One of the more obscure Week 1 challenges tasks players with using a new item as well as a new Chapter 3 control.
Here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to use a Med-Mist while sliding in Fortnite Chapter 3.
Use a Med-Mist while sliding - Fortnite Season 3
What can seem like one of the more difficult challenges for Chapter 3 Week 1, players must "Use a Med-Mist while sliding". This challenge only needs to be completed one time before unlocking the XP reward.
There are two parts to this challenge, obviously, you will need to pick up a Med-Mist item. These green healing canisters can be found just like any other healing item, and are plentiful in loot chests.
Once you've picked up a Med-Mist, try to find a nearby hill or significant downward slope that will make it easy to slide. Then switch your Med-Mist to your active item, and prepare to complete the challenge.
Sliding in Fortnite Chapter 3
The new sliding feature in Fortnite Chapter 3 is very easy to use and control. All you need to do is get a running start, jump, and press the right stick upon landing and your player will begin to slide.
Sliding is easiest to perform when there is a decline in elevation, so ready your Med-Mist and head to the side of a hill or mountain. To use Med-Mist while sliding, begin your slide and press 'Heal' while you're still in motion.
Note: You will not be able to use the Med-Mist if you are full-health. If necessary, take some slight fall damage to make yourself eligible to spray the Med-Mist.
Completing the challenge should look something like this:
