The festive season is fast approaching, and 2020 will soon be in our rearview mirror. For the past two years, Epic Games have released a 14 Days of Fortnite event, also called Fortnite Winterfest. While not announced just yet, the Fortnite Winterfest 2020 is all-but-confirmed for Season 5.
Here's everything we know so far about the Fortnite Winterfest 2020 event, including leaked cosmetics, the Snowmando skin, the possible release date, challenges and other cosmetics.
Fortnite Winterfest 2020 release date
Epic Games has not yet confirmed the release date for Fortnite Winterfest 2020. However, we do have a good idea of when the Fortnite Winter Fest will release this year.
In 2018, it released on 20th December and ran until 2nd January. Last year, the Fortnite Winterfest ran from 18th December to 6th January.

Traditionally, Fortnite updates release on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. This makes our best guess for the Fortnite Winterfest 2020 release date between 15th and 17th December. The event should, therefore, run until 5th or 7th January 2020.
Fortnite Winterfest 2020 skins: Snowmando & more
Four skins have already been uncovered via the Fortnite v15.00 datamine which should release with Winterfest 2020.
There's a Frost Squad set, Fa-La-La-La Fishstick, Gingerbread Raider and a Snowmando skin.
Interestingly, the Snowmando skin doesn't appear to have an item shop tag, leading some to believe it might be a free skin players can acquire during the event.

Fortnite Winterfest 2020 backbling
Even more evidence suggesting Fortnite Winterfest 2020 is planned comes from dataminers who found two backbling pieces in the v15.00 update files. Check out the image via Mikey below.
Fortnite Winterfest 2020 challenges
With the Fortnite Winterfest 2020 event, you can expect several festive challenges to appear, which you should be able to complete for a nice XP boost.
These challenges should include participating in festive activities, like using Ice Machines, Snowball Launchers and more.
There's also a good chance we will see some new NPC quests with a festive theme, so you can get some shiny Gold Bars in the process.
Dataminer HYPEX found a Snowman NPC in the game's files, which will apparently be able to grant quests, talk to the player, and explode or spawn loot.
Festive Floppers & items
Presents, Ice Machines, Snowball Launchers, a Slurp Bazooka, Fire Extinguisher item and more. That's what dataminers have uncovered so far for the Fortnite Winterfest 2020 event.
LunakisLeaks also found a possible Christmas Flopper, which players should be able to catch during the Winterfest 2020 event. This Flopper is expected to heal for 15, with no additional information available at the time of writing.
