The Fortnite v18.21 update brought with it The Convergence (Cube Town) as well as massive monsters, the Fortnitemares quests, and much more. With the Fortnite v18.30 update, developer Epic Games is unleashing even more content for fans of the ever-popular battle royale to enjoy.
Here's everything you need to know about the Fortnite v18.30 update, including our unofficial patch notes, bug fixes, server downtime, the Cube Queen's secret skin, and the Combat Shotgun vs Boogie Ball vote. Let's dive in.
Fortnite server downtime for v18.30 update
With every big update to Fortnite, players will have to endure a few hours of server downtime, and v18.30 is no different.
The servers will go down at 08:00 UTC (09:00 BST), and matchmaking will be disabled approximately 30 minutes before the server downtime gets underway.
Expect the downtime to last for roughly three to four hours, as is tradition, with the servers coming online again at roughly 13:00 BST latest.
Cube Queen secret skin unlock
The secret skin for this season's battle pass is clearly that of the Cube Queen. The battle pass timer for the secret skin to unlock shows 28th October 2021.
Since we won't have another Fortnite update before 28th October, the Cube Queen secret skin definitely forms part of the v18.30 update.
Being a secret skin, players will need to unlock it by completing several quests. We expect the full list of quests to be revealed on 28th October, and maybe we will also need to defeat the Cube Queen in-game...
Cube Town Pyramid and boss fight
Dataminer HYPEX has reason to believe Cube Town (The Convergence) might slowly turn into a Pyramid following the v18.30 update.
There's a string in the Cube Queen's effects that refers to her as the "Pyramid Tip", and she will also be holding her pickaxe after v18.30 with lightning effects around her!
This points towards a possible boss fight as so far, players have not been able to even touch the Cube Queen.
Combat Shotgun vs Boogie Ball vote
The next "Unvaulting vote" aka War Effort vote will take place once servers go live following the Fortnite v18.30 update's release.
Developer Epic Games has teased as much via a single line on Twitter, stating: "Do you fight with force… or with groove?"
Dataminers are certain the vote will be between the Combat Shotgun and the Boogie Bomb, both of which were vaulted during Chapter 2 Season 5.
