Epic Games Fortnite servers are currently down
After many players were struggling with both log in and matchmaking issues for much of the day, a series of tweets were posted from the Fortnite Status account on Twitter. The posts stated the title was currently unavailable, and that more info would later become available.
While this is frustrating to report, rest assured it's not a problem on your end, the Epic Games servers are simply experiencing issues. This is likely due to a big spike in activity over the holiday period when many are home and have a bit more time to play.
