On 17th August 2022, Fortnite professional player Diego "Arkhram" Lima announced his retirement from Epic Games' hit battle royale Fortnite; accordingly, the former 100 Thieves player revealed his desire to pursue competitive Valorant instead.
Arkhram's retirement from Fortnite came via a Twitlonger, detailing his departure and journey throughout Fortnite esports. In his statement, Arkhram thanked his followers, friends, and 100 Thieves for their unwavering support throughout the years.
Furthermore, Arkhram said that he would be “pursuing Valorant” and “found a new passion;” to continue getting better at the game and eventually play professionally.
Fortnite Pro Arkhram Quits Fortnite For Valorant
As one of the more prominent professional players in Fortnite for the past few years, Arkhram’s decision comes after realizing how “uncompetitive” the scene has become. The now-former Fortnite player thanked Epic Games for making his “dream” of being an esports athlete come true.

In his departure, a new door opens for Arkhram as he ventures into Valorant’s competitive scene. The professional player said he’d been playing the game for “months” and found his new “passion” in it. Additionally, he’d like to continue playing to be the “best” and eventually “compete among the best.”
Arkhram stated that he had no plans to return to Fortnite after the years of competitive gaming he’s devoted to the scene and title. Instead, he plans to pursue Valorant full-heartedly and will give it his “all” in the process.

The former Fortnite player concluded by thanking his community for following him throughout his career while playing competitive Fortnite. Subsequently, Arkhram also expressed his gratitude towards his friends and 100 Thieves for “making these past years unforgettable” and supporting him since Fortnite’s World Cup in 2019.
In response to the professional player’s Tweet, 100 Thieves co-owner and Twitch icon Jack “CouRageJD” Dunlop sent off Arkhram with good luck. He commented, “what a legendary Fortnite career. Best of luck in the future.”
