Fortnite x Pac-Man Collab Confirmed Ahead Of Chapter 3 Season 3

Fortnite has seen some incredible crossovers over the years, with notable gaming releases including Street Fighter, Halo Infinite, League of Legends and Uncharted bringing their characters to the battle royale game. While we have seen some bizarre crossovers, Epic Games may be bringing their biggest collaboration in June 2022.

One of the most iconic video game characters from the arcade era, Pac-Man, will arrive at Fortnite Island. While details surrounding the crossover have yet to be announced, the announcement will surely excite Pac-Man and Fortnite players as we approach Chapter 3 Season 3.

Pac-Man Japanese devs confirm Fortnite crossover

Pac-Man celebrated its 42nd birthday on 22nd May 2022, thanking the community for its enduring love and support over the decades. Additionally, it also shared across its social media channels that in honour of its monumental birthday, they're "going to party all week," which may hint at some surprise announcements.

Hours following its birthday post, the game's developer posted to Pac-Man's official Japanese website that a collaboration with Epic Games and Fortnite is officially happening. According to the blog post, they'll be bringing Pac-Man to Fortnite with items bearing the "Pac-Man motif" appearing as the crossover will start 2nd June 2022.

Epic Games has yet to confirm the Fortnite x Pac-Man crossover event from their end, but we can expect a detailed announcement in the coming days. While we're likely to see Pac-Man items available via the Item Shop, we may see new cosmetics like back bling or a wrap or a Creative Island mode based on the popular arcade game.

The official Fortnite Twitter account did send birthday wishes to the arcade gaming icon, which may further confirm the collaboration between the two gaming titles. As such, when Epic Games indeed confirm it from their side, there's a possibility that the collaboration date is subject to change.

This was particularly mentioned in the blog post, as more details are expected to follow soon. The collaboration date alone is fairly interesting as rumours have speculated that Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is expected to start on 4th June 2022.

As of writing, we're still waiting for official confirmation from Epic Games regarding the Pac-Man collaboration and the date of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. We advise players to proceed with caution regarding this news until an announcement has been made.
