Fortnite Naruto Rivals to launch with new wave of skins and characters

The popular Japanese anime series Naruto: Shippuden is confirmed to return to Epic Games' popular battle royale. This announcement follows earlier rumors of a second Fortnite x Naruto Rivals crossover, bringing new cosmetic skins and characters to the game.

Notably, the first Fortnite x Naruto collaboration took place in November last year during the version 18.40 patch and saw the arrival of many characters, including protagonist Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatak from Team 7.

Now fans can get excited as even more characters from the iconic anime are headed to the game. Here's everything you need to know about the Fortnite x Naruto Part 2 collaboration, including the new themed skins and characters.

Fortnite x Naruto Rivals to launch with new skins and characters

Epic Games officially revealed the second wave of Naruto cosmetics on 15th June 2022 via a teaser advert on Fortnite's official social media accounts. Without much context or details, Epic Games only revealed the expected start date of 23rd June 2022.

Following the announcement, notable Fortnite leaker HYPEX shared additional information surrounding the upcoming skins for Fortnite's latest collaboration with Naruto: Shippuden on Twitter, which was reportedly first spotted in a Japanese magazine.

Similarly to the first crossover, the new Naruto set seems to have four new Outfits, all with matching Back Blings. However, apart from this, it's unclear what other cosmetic items the Fortnite x Naruto Rivals collab will feature.

HYPEX remains hopeful that this new collab will include Akatsuki skins, given that we already have Hidan's pickaxe; however, we will have to wait to see if this materializes.

The Naruto characters slated to arrive in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 as skins are:

• Hinata

• Gaara

• Itachi

• Orochimaru

As of writing, it's unclear whether the skins will be a Fortnite Item Shop exclusive or if Epic Games will allow players to get these skins via challenges. 

Nevertheless, it's great to see Epic Games bringing more characters from the iconic anime series to Fortnite and expanding the roster.
