How to get an Egg Launcher in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

In line with Easter festivities around the corner, the Egg Launcher has been unvaulted in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. Along with the Jetpack, the small update brought bite-size content to the Week 4 schedule in the battle royale.

Unlike the Jetpack, the Egg Launcher will be far more common for any player to find as they start a match in Fortnite. These launchers and the consumable eggs scattered around the map are par for the course in terms of Easter additions to the game. So while the launcher is still available, it doesn't hurt to get your hands on one.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 - Getting an Egg Launcher

Finding an Egg Launcher in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season is mostly up to luck. As they were in the past, these explosive weapons are found as floor loot, chest loot, and rewards within supply drops. Floor loot is likely the best option for finding the launcher quickly when a game begins, but it's never guaranteed.

Because the Egg Launcher is found in all kinds of loot pools though, the weapon does have various rarities that can be found. Blue is the lowest and is the typical rarity that you'll find when looking for launchers as floor loot. Beyond that, the weapon can go all the way up to Legendary rarity.

At the highest level, each egg will do 77 damage to players and 220 damage when used on structures. There is no mythic version to find, so Legendary is the best possible version during this event drop.

Of course, if you find a launcher and want to use it right away in the next game you start, the tent mechanic is always available. Simply pitch a tent and place the launcher inside to reclaim it with another tent in any other match.

The Egg Launcher versus the Anvil Rocket Launcher

By now, players have seen the power that the Anvil Rocket Launcher can pack in each shot. It's easily the best tool to use against moving vehicles, such as tanks that can be dominant in later phases of a match.

The Egg Launcher is the familiar grenade launcher that has appeared so many times. You must bounce a shot before it explodes, which makes it a niche weapon for player damage. When comparing the two launchers, it's best to divide them by intent. Use the Egg Launcher for players and the Anvil for vehicles.
